Elokuu

Elokuu represents a distinctive voice in Finnish hip hop, formed in 2011 through the creative collaboration of reggae artist Nopsajalka, rapper Juno and producer Jonas W. Karlsson. Their unique blend of Finnish swing, jazz, and contemporary hip hop has created a sound that Finnish people still play heavily especially during summer months—music that captures the warmth and energy of Finnish summers.

Our catalog includes all of their albums and remixes : Including "Hääväki Saapuu" (their breakthrough debut) and "Pöytä on Katettu" (2013). Both albums feature summer favourites and hits like "Tänään lähtee”, “Saatilla” and "Valvoo" which all also enjoy heavy rotation in radio. These albums demonstrate Elokuu's ability to weave together traditional Finnish musical elements with modern urban sounds, creating a timeless soundtrack for Finnish summer experiences.
